About the RoleAs an Executive Director in our Resources, Energy, and Infrastructure sector in Corporate Finance, you'll play a key role in helping to manage, build and grow the relationship franchise for the REI sector in QLD.
The role involves the management of a portfolio of high calibre REI relationships based in Brisbane, providing them with tailored banking products and services to enable them to achieve their strategic objectives in a sustainable manner, achieved in co-operation with core product partners, particularly across Trade, PCM, Markets and Corporate Finance.
Given the Suncorp Bank commitments (Lending) this role will be a leading role in assisting the State Head develop new customers around those commitments.
What will your day look like?The role responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute strategies for the acquisition of new customers/identification of new business opportunities in conjunction with product specialists.Achieve growth/returns/targets (including ESG metrics) in line with REI QLD POD/REI/ Institutional's broader strategy.Assist in the management of the Target around the Suncorp Bank lending commitments.Leverage your own and ANZ franchise expertise to consistently meet/exceed customer expectations including industry insights, thought leadership etc.
Contribute towards Institutional being no 1 Relationship bank on Peter Lee scores.Proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customer's business and financial services needs.
Be an advocate for the client within the Bank.Work with Government relations team with key discussions with QLD Government stakeholders.Demonstrate disciplined approach to account planning, POD process.Adhere to the Bank's risk, compliance and behavioural policy.Live the ANZ values at all times, by demonstrating leadership within the CF QLD team and across REI, contributing to an outperformance, collaborative culture.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven expertise and networks, with a customer and commercially driven mindset.
Ability to translate Institutional/ CF/ REI strategy to what it means to the business and how we deliver to the customer, including understanding of key client product requirements.Understanding of customer needs, buying behaviour and competitive landscape including knowledge of the political, economic, and regulatory environment that the customer and ANZ operates within.Demonstrated ability to manage complex discussions with key senior stakeholders and be a clear communicator.Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver customer solutions/business development opportunities.In depth knowledge of Institutional Banking and products and complex financing structures and techniques.
Ability to work across the ANZ franchise to deliver customer solutions.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
