Reporting to the newly appointed CEO, the Executive Director Corporate Development will bring a customer-first and innovation mindset when it comes to providing high-quality expertise to Council and the local community. With overall responsibility for the implementation of internal business transformation strategies, including technology and process redesign projects, this critical role will ensure the whole business delivers seamless and customer-centric solutions. Leading key functions including Governance, Legal and Risk, Financial Services, Procurement, People and Change, Communications, and Customer Experience, the Executive Director will align staff to a shared vision and purpose to create an enabling environment and a culture of continuous improvement. This role plays an integral part in communicating best practices to the broader organisation and will assist in guiding the team through a period of transformation.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, Greater Dandenong is seeking applications from executive leaders who are politically astute and who demonstrate contemporary and strategic leadership, a customer-first attitude, and strong cultural values. You will bring proven experience leading transformation projects, uplifting technical capability, and embedding sector-leading practices. You have a proven track record leading and empowering multi-disciplinary staff, fostering a positive and motivated workplace culture, and building high-performing teams who take initiative and are held in high regard across the organisation and who are excited to work under your leadership. You will bring experience in the local government or broader public sector, and formal qualifications in CA/CPA are highly desired.
