Executive Director - Awareness and Growth

About the role
Newly created full time permanent position can be based in any capital city in Australia. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for:
Shaping and driving the strategic direction of the organisation to achieve its purpose, contributing insight into reputation management and income generation for strategic and operational plans.
Providing regular and ad hoc reports to senior colleagues, the CEO, and the Board on Marketing, Communications, Innovation and Business Development, and Fundraising progress.
Working closely with Executive team colleagues to ensure alignment and support on key developments that impact various departments.
Overseeing and reporting on annual income and expenditure budgets for departments within your scope, addressing variances to peers, the CEO, and the Board.
Identifying and managing risks associated with operational activities. Acting as the crisis communications process owner.
Representing Dementia Australia in media, events, industry seminars, and public speaking engagements, enhancing the organisation's profile.
Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing, communications, and income-generating strategies to diversify funding and strengthen the brand's reputation.
Ensuring effective delivery of reputation and brand management, safeguarding relationships with key stakeholders.

Salary benefits:
We offer all employees the opportunity to salary package up to $15,900 each year for living expenses and up to $2,650 each year for entertainment benefits.
Leave allowances:
In addition to your annual leave allowance, you will receive paid days off during our end of year closure period (if these days fall within your regular working schedule) and up to six weeks parental leave.

About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following:
Appropriate tertiary qualification and relevant professional memberships.
Substantial experience at an executive level in most or all the functions of the department.
An innovator with a passion and demonstrable success using data and evidence to develop new products and grow new revenue channels.
Strong business acumen and understanding of fundraising trends and best practices.
Demonstrated successful experience in leading and delivering integrated (paid, earned and owned) health campaigns preferably in the for-purpose sector.
Highly developed strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with experience and success in organisational change management.
Track record of outcomes arising from high level project management, communication, facilitation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proven ability to provide coaching, development and effective leadership to a complex and high performing team with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
