Plus, you can expect to collaborate with some of WA's best producers, suppliers and service some of Perth's most unique functions.Our Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will have significant experience in the events space, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity. This role requires an exceptional level of communication, organisation, attention to detail, and commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience. You will have a demonstrated ability in setting strategy, sourcing new business, conversion, leading a team and handling guest needs and requests, providing a superior service that is courteous, and professional and creates memorable experiences.Develop and implement the department's sales and events strategy to maximize revenue and achieve business goals.Train, mentor and manage the events team on upselling strategies, customer relationship management and service standards.Respond to all enquiries within 48 hours, providing accurate information and personalised service.Maintain accurate business forecasts and communicate them to relevant departments to optimise resources and revenue.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with wedding, corporate, and conference suppliers and partners to enhance offerings and exceed client expectations.Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain competitiveness.Maintain the iVvy and SevenRooms booking and CRM platforms, sales activity, event blockouts, client information, tentative and confirmed bookings.Undertake daily administration and sales activities including correspondence, quoting, and follow-up.Coordinate and host familiarisation and site inspection activities, following up with prospective clients to drive conversions.Ensure thorough knowledge of hotel and State Buildings food and beverage offerings, service standards, and policies.Participate in weekly meetings, group arrivals, and corporate events as required, presenting professionally to clients and colleagues.Submit monthly reports on inquiries, confirmed business, forecasts, competitor information, market trends, market intelligence, new opportunities, and conversion targets.Create and maintain Google Docs for event planning and coordination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Maintain professional business confidentiality at all times.Role Type#J-18808-Ljbffr
