Event Planning & Coordination - Randstad

SENIOR EVENTS ADVISER | STATE GOVERNMENT Contract: 7 months
Pay: $67.39 per/hour + super
Location: Melbourne CBD
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days WFH)
Role Overview: Work with a large state government department and lead an industry specific conference and deliver high-quality events supporting the organisation's stakeholder communications and engagement objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end delivery of large-scale government sector events Procure and oversee event-related services (AV, print, suppliers, venue, hospitality) Develop event formats within allocated budgets Write event communications, including briefings and running orders Prepare briefings for Ministers, executives, and dignitaries Liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders Evaluate events and produce reports for continuous improvement Requirements: Proven experience in government sector event management essential Strong project management and budget control skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities Keen eye for detail and logistics management Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Desired Qualities: Passion for creating professional and memorable events Can-do approach and ability to empower team members Commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences Additional Information: Role involves managing high-profile, public-facing government events.
