ROLE OUTLINE The Performance Director oversees and coordinates the delivery across a team of biddable experts. You will manage all operations, from ensuring quality implementation planning to improving operational efficiency & delivery, to acting as a senior consultant to clients for their activation and performance management.
This role includes taking accountability for talent management, including reviews, training, coaching, performance management, and recruitment. You will work closely with other directors to support national initiatives designed to improve key indicators.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS Collaborating closely with internal teams Establishing strong relationships with relevant media, data, and technology partners Foster deep trust and understanding with agency client teams Contribute to great teamwork in your immediate team WHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND YOUR TIME DOING People – 40% of your time Oversee team workflow, dealing with issues as they arise to a satisfactory resolution Ensure your team is adequately trained, resourced, motivated, and engaged to deliver Conduct regular 1-2-1s with your team, providing leadership and modelling our behaviours at all times Product – 30% of your time Help define and deliver best practice, supervising your team's output and intervening where necessary Contribute to product development and direction, leveraging vendors and partners to achieve this Anticipate future challenges, trends, and changes to both your clients and our industry, proactively forming a view of strategies to mitigate risk and create opportunity Client – 15% of your time Lead key client relationships as it relates to implementation planning & buying, ensuring team output is to the required standard Be the voice of GroupM Nexus initiatives with your teams and your clients, driving best practice and innovation. Navigate the complex media, technology, and data landscape, providing counsel and support to both your team and clients Elevate both team and client thinking through expert opinion and leadership, including tackling sensitive conversations with confidence Commercial – 15% of your time Responsible for the overall delivery of client investment, with flawless accuracy across all aspects Identify commercial opportunities with the ability to make a compelling case for their inclusion Provide robust and accurate internal forecasting, both across client investment and for required resources to manage campaign delivery WHAT MAKES A GREAT PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR Attention to detail: monitoring the quality and accuracy of your own work, and that of others Organisation: manages expectations across all stakeholders, sets clear priorities Team & collaboration: assumes extra responsibilities to facilitate the achievement of team goals Communication: effectively communicates business objectives, issues, and outcomes clearly, applies strategic thinking Analytical: recognises causes & consequences of actions and events that are not readily apparent Flexibility: recognises changing circumstances quickly and proactively implements successful action plans across the team Proactivity/taking the initiative: consistently contributes to improve work methods, outcomes, and team performance Problem solving: identifies root problems and proactively implements solutions, acts to minimise risk across all implementation processes and procedures Apply now and send your CV via the link!
