About the role
The changing climate will present unprecedented risks and shifts in business models as companies adapt to meet the needs of climate-impacted consumers and markets. Whether advising on strategies that respond to the decarbonising economy, or building resilience in the face of warming and more volatile weather, ERM Energetics seeks a Consultant who is energised to help businesses address the climate challenge throughout our services.
Our services

Climate disclosures and transition planning: Mandatory disclosure support, including gap analysis and compliance roadmaps, target setting (eg SBTi) and transition strategy development. Emissions inventories: Developing accurate and robust Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions inventories and forecasts to support mandatory (incoming ASRS, NGER, NPI) and voluntary (GRI, CDP and GRESB) reporting. Supply chain emissions and implications: Consolidating and improving Scope 3 emissions data in line with reporting requirements. Operationalisation of net zero strategies: Designing, configuring and implementing sustainability data capture and net zero reporting frameworks. What do I need to be successful in this role?
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following two pre-requisite requirements:
At least 2 years' experience in climate risk and mitigation solutions, emissions quantification and decarbonisation. Consulting experience, including work in NGER, NPI, Scope 3, TCFD and SBTi. Experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies including use of LCA software (eg SimaPro). Preferred requirements are:
Demonstrated expertise in providing analysis and advice on the risks to business under different climate change scenarios and make recommendations for adaptation strategies. Strong Microsoft Excel skills that have been used to undertake analysis of varying sizes of data sets.
