Position Overview This position in the Land, Catchment and Approvals team provides a variety of environmental planning and heritage services to support the delivery of a wide range of capital and non-capital projects.
A snapshot of your day As our Environmental Planning Practitioner, you'll: Provide specialised advice to support project managers and others on environmental and heritage issues.
Ensure environmental and heritage (aboriginal and non-aboriginal) issues and approvals are adequately addressed throughout project life cycles.
Prepare and review project briefs, reports and applications for approval as required.
Advise on how the business can protect and enhance the natural environment both on projects and through ongoing operations.
Facilitate increased environmental awareness, knowledge and skills within the organisation.
Learn more in the position description Skills & Experience Detailed knowledge and experience in ecological assessment and biodiversity offsetting.
Detailed knowledge of the environmental legislation, regulations, and frameworks that relate to planning approvals and biodiversity in Victoria.
A strong understanding of the Victorian statutory planning system.
Registration as a Vegetation Quality Assessor (desirable).
Tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or Statutory Planning.

Salary The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 ($93,548   - $118,209 pro rata, plus superannuation) salary range will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with their skills and experience... Why join us?
