About the job As the Environment and Heritage Coordinator, you will manage the planning, allocation, and scheduling of environment, land, and cultural heritage support across SA Water's capital program, including major initiatives such as the South Australian Government's Housing Roadmap.
This role will be responsible for assessing project requirements, ensuring preliminary assessments are used to identify significant environment, land and heritage risks and regulatory approvals, to deliver leading outcomes in line with customer expectations.
The role will require the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across the business, leveraging existing capability and capacity of a large and diverse team, as well as resources available within major and minor framework partners and broader support networks.
In addition, the role will drive critical business improvement initiatives related to improving the governance and maturity for environment and heritage approvals.
These business improvement initiatives will strengthen processes, systems and tools to further improve environment and heritage support for the capital program to enhance environmental outcomes.
Your leadership in promoting environmental and cultural heritage service excellence will be pivotal in safeguarding environmental outcomes on SA Water's capital investment portfolio.
About Science and Strategy The Science and Strategy group employs scientific approaches to address present and upcoming challenges.
They execute a strategy driven by customer preferences to elevate the SA Water brand and position us for future success.
In addition, your responsibilities will include: Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.Lead the oversight of SA Water's Environment and Heritage Expertise, ensuring team capabilities and resources are optimally aligned to support delivery safely and efficiently.Coordinate with internal and external resource networks, including Framework Partners, to minimise risk and ensure appropriate resourcing for environment, land, and heritage needs.Plan, allocate, track, and report on resource requirements to support the capital program, including RD24 and other major initiatives, ensuring outcomes meet customer expectations.Collaborate with key business stakeholders to prepare for upcoming programs and ensure the availability of the right expertise at the right time for project delivery.Drive continuous improvement in resource planning and scheduling, implementing initiatives to enhance performance and support timely delivery of environment, land, and heritage requirements.Manage regulatory approvals and maintain relationships with external regulators and stakeholders to facilitate the efficient delivery of SA Water's activities.Your success in this role will come from: Appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Studies or Environmental Engineering or equivalent, or demonstrated experience in these fields.Understanding of environmental principles and practices, frameworks and legislation and Environmental Management Systems.Highly organised with demonstrated capability in overseeing complex portfolios of programs with diverse support requirements.Capability to provide leadership and people management and communication skills.To apply, click 'Apply'.
