Dora Creek, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSWOther (Engineering)Full timeYou will complete a Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical trade qualification over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, PGSR.Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:Operate tools and large machinery including lathes, mills, drills, welding plant and calibrated measuring tools.Read and interpret drawings and specifications.Diagnose and repair machinery faults.Carry out tasks on workshop machinery to create, fit and assemble components.Carry out other duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence and ability as required.What you'll bring to the table…To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:Commitment to both on and off the job training.Show genuine enthusiasm and interest in the mechanical trade.Mandatory RequirementsCurrent drivers licence (or close to obtaining).Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including audiometry, spirometry and drug and alcohol screening.WHS Construction industry induction (White card) card, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.About Zeal FuturesZeal Futures provides the ultimate training and employment experience.
