The Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy (the Strategy) builds on the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan (QRIDP). Queensland is a global resource powerhouse, and the Strategy will position Queensland for the future to mine and process the minerals and manufacture the renewable technologies needed for the clean energy industrial revolution. A thriving critical minerals industry will support new opportunities, strong local economies and create more good secure jobs in Queensland's regions.

Key to the Strategy's success is the establishment of the Critical Minerals Queensland office – a centralised point for industry, investors and community, enabling the growth of this industry.
About us:
The Queensland Resources sector is changing. At the Department of Resources, we juggle new demands, rapid changes and shifts in community knowledge and expectation. We play an active role in the delivery of key government priorities, such as the implementation of a renewable energy economy, assisting in Path to Treaty, recognition of Native Title Rights and capitalising on our resources for sustainable economic prosperity.

Join Resources and #MakeADifference! In this role you will:
• Manage and implement stakeholder engagement framework, projects and/or initiatives relating to commitments of the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy, to ensure successful and timely stakeholder engagement. These include stakeholder information, events and other communication activities.
• Oversee and triage sensitive and challenging media, industry and departmental issues and matters relating to the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy, keeping abreast of developments and opportunities.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on progress of stakeholder engagement activities across the department, government and key stakeholders.
• Engage with key stakeholders on priority projects, activities and funding opportunities that support the delivery of critical mineral sector and critical mineral zone outcomes.
• Work closely with the department's Communications team, to ensure coordination and alignment between engagement activities of CMQ and the department.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and the community to assist in effective stakeholder engagement delivery.
• Provide high level expertise and advice to Critical Minerals Queensland Lead and other managers with respect to effective stakeholder engagement considerations.
• Provide advice and assistance in formulating communication and engagement strategies, briefings and speaking points and media enquiries.
• Represent the department by participating in appropriate conferences, seminars and education initiatives and other industry and consumer forums.
• Other duties as required and directed.

We're looking for the best suited applicant for the role. We'll do this by assessing your eligibility and your ability to undertake the requirements of the role (including, where relevant, the way you carried out previous roles). We'll also consider your potential to make contributions to the department and how your engagement would support our commitment to equity, diversity, respect, and inclusion.
