The company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Energy Trading Analyst to join their team on a fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Australian energy markets and a strong analytical background. This role involves working closely with traders and other analysts to develop and implement effective trading strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Analyse market data, trends, and forecasts to support trading strategies. Monitor and report on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry news. Develop and maintain analytical models to predict market movements. Optimise trading strategies through advanced data analysis. Collaborate with traders to identify market opportunities and risks. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. Utilise data analytics tools to enhance trading performance. Conduct research on market conditions and competitor activities. Evaluate the impact of economic and political events on energy markets. Assist in the development of risk management strategies. Support the implementation of trading systems and tools. Participate in meetings and contribute to strategy discussions. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in energy trading, market analysis, or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of the Australian energy markets, including market structures and regulations. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Python, R, or similar. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting. Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team. Benefits: Competitive salary package: $150,000 - $165,000.
