About the role
Mater Private Bundaberg has exciting opportunities for Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join the team within Medical, Surgical and Rehabilitation Unit. We have permanent part-time and casual positions available.
The Enrolled Nurse will provide patient-centred nursing care within their scope of practice and registration requirements under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.
What you'll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse's core responsibilities include:
Contributing to the formation of care plans/clinical pathways in collaboration with the Registered Nurse;Accurately collecting and reporting data regarding the health and functional status of patients;Participating with the registered nurse, patient, and family/carers in identifying expected health care outcomes and patient needs;Participating with the Registered Nurse in evaluation of progress of patients toward expected outcomes and reformulation of care plans/clinical pathways;Contributing to the clinical care of patients within scope of practice and expertise;Adhering to care plans to achieve optimal patient-centred care outcomes;Recognising and reporting changes in the health and functional status of patients to the Registered Nurse;Ensuring communication, reporting, and documentation are timely and accurate;Organising workload to facilitate planned nursing care for patients and reprioritising when appropriate with the registered nurse;Providing for the comfort needs of patients experiencing illness or dependence;Ensuring patient values, customs, and spiritual beliefs are respected;Contributing to the health education of patients and their family/carers to maintain and promote health;Communicating with patients in an appropriate manner and environment to enable therapeutic outcomes.About you
To be successful: Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency;Medication administration education that ensures exclusion of Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency notation.Why join us?
