The role of Employment Consultant works closely with veterans who are involved in career transition and provides support with application processes, interview readiness, effective job search strategies. You'll be the conduit providing tailored assistance to enable career opportunities and increased employability of veterans after military life. Day to day you will:
Engage with stakeholders as a first point of contact fielding program queries Assess eligibility and complete intake assessment Manage a caseload career direction assistance and regular check-ins Support with vocational services including CV/Resume writing, cover letter tips Coach on interview techniques, research career opportunities Develop individual career plans Identify and facilitate training, higher education and VET pathways Maintain knowledge of the labour market providing guidance, advice and support Work with internal stakeholders in Vocational Program team The ideal candidate will bring:
Experience gained vocational employment, career transition, career coaching, or human resources/recruitment Experience with managing a caseload with a focus on employment services Certificate IV in Career Development (willingness to obtain) Skills in delivering employment workshops or information sessions Skills in CV/Resume writing, cover letter preparation Demonstrated skills in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders with empathy Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills Skills to work autonomously, prioritising and meeting deadlines CRM skills and MS Office Qld Drivers Licence Your authentic approach and desire to support and guide others to achieve outcomes are key to your success in this role.
Our client offers a hybrid working environment (2 days Fortitude Valley, 1 day Stafford) and 2 days work from home.
