Position Overview Multicultural Families Organisation is seeking a proactive and motivated individual with initiative to join our Employment and Training team. The Support Officer will play a key role in delivering our Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) Certificate courses, providing students with the support needed to complete their training and secure meaningful employment. The poistion is initally 3 days per week, howevere there will be option to increase hours as more training contracts are awarded.
Key Responsibilities Program Support:
Assist in the coordination of trainers with partnering Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).Organise venues and logistics for course delivery.Develop referral pathways and assist with student recruitment.Support students with enrolment, engagement, and retention in their courses.Provide feedback and course updates to the Program Coordinator for monthly reporting.Participant Support:
Offer career counselling, resume building, and interview preparation to participants.Guide participants in creating/updating their CVs and applying for job opportunities.Employer Engagement:
Build relationships with local employers to create job placement opportunities.Ensure training programs align with industry standards and market needs.Monitoring and Evaluation:
Track participant progress and employment outcomes.Assist in developing methods to evaluate program effectiveness and implement adjustments as needed.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of participants, course details, and outcomes.Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation and certification requirements.Social Media Management:
Assist in managing the social media presence for the SQW program.Budget Management:
Support budget management by forecasting costs and tracking expenditures for efficient resource use.Collaboration and Compliance:
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to align programs with organisational goals.Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and relevant legal regulations.Innovation:
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in employment and training.Incorporate new technologies and methodologies to improve program offerings.Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Proficiency in creating engaging training materials.Familiarity with training and career development software.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Strong IT skills for managing participant data and communication.Licenses and Clearances:
Blue card (working with children clearance)Driver's licensePolice checks (required every two years)
