Employee Relations (ER) Business PartnerThe Employee Relations Business Partner plays a key role in supporting employee relations initiatives, offering operational guidance and expertise across all people processes.
The position focuses on identifying and mitigating workplace risks while fostering a positive employee experience and a strong workplace culture.
Key responsibilities: Provide specialist advice to Line Managers on ER matters, including performance and disciplinary issues, aligning with policy and legislation;Guide Line Managers in resolving complex staff issues, under ER Manager's direction;Coordinate staff performance reviews to ensure timely completion of annual PAD evaluations;Support ER activities across the People, Strategy and Research group and contribute to WHS functions as needed;Lead and implement ER projects, including WCP iterations and DEIB strategies;Develop and recommend positive employee engagement initiatives and enhance induction programs;Review and recommend updates to ER policies and procedures, collaborating with other functional groups as required;Prepare submissions, reports, and streamline internal ER processes and forms;Design and deliver ER training sessions for internal staff;Contribute to group KPIs and financial planning efforts within the People, Strategy and Research team;Promote a bias-free, inclusive environment that fosters diversity, equity, and belonging. About you: To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in Human Resources or Employee Relations, ideally backed by a relevant qualification, with extensive experience as a generalist HR/ER Business Partner.
Your expertise includes hands-on case management, injury management, and using HRIS systems to analyse data and provide actionable insights.
You're well-versed in employment legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements, enabling you to confidently advise on both complex and straightforward people matters.
Skilled in building relationships with stakeholders at all levels, you are a consultative leader with proven experience in policy development and effective communication.
Your high-level verbal and written skills allow you to influence, negotiate, and advocate on employee relations issues effectively.
Additionally, you apply your specialist knowledge to analyse people data, offering practical solutions to business units, and navigating complex ER challenges with confidence.
