If you have a passion for strategic planning and a commitment to protecting people and places, we want to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesRegions Deliver on Planning, Response and Recovery responsibilities – Ensures the region is thoroughly prepared, responsive and capable of safely and effectively meeting departmental responsibilities under the State Emergency Management Plan.Effective representation of the department – Actively represents the department in the Regional Emergency Management Team (REMT) during emergencies, and at various internal and external emergency management working groups and committees.Volunteers are appropriately skilled – Successfully coordinates and delivers learning and development of the department's regional personnel volunteering in emergency management roles, ensuring they are appropriately skilled.Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery Management – Collaborates effectively with the department's regional incident management team to ensure readiness.Effective people leadership – Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills, fostering a highly engaged and cohesive team.Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.Key Selection CriteriaWe are seeking a resilient leader who excels under pressure, providing clear direction and support to teams in challenging situations.
