About the RoleWe have a current opportunity for Electrical Supervisors to join our Fixed Plant team, these unique opportunities within Port Maintenance are ideally suited to an individual seeking to develop their leadership skills to further support their career aspirations.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
Ensure conformance with the BHP policies and procedures and relevant WHS and statutory obligationsResponsible for upkeep and compliance to the electrical area logbook. Ensuring bridging and overriding is compiled to as per procedure.As an Appointed Person, you are required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations in accordance with your appointmentResponsible for electrical plant health and development of long term reliability of fixed plantMaintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environmentEnsuring compliance to the Safety Management Plans during shutdowns, specifically targeting the areas of Material Risk control and technical abilityLiaise with Operations and Maintenance teams to validate and evaluate scope, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activitiesCommunication and engagement with all relevant stakeholdersOperating within an established maintenance management system, your key focus will be to promote a high level of team interaction and coordinationMonitoring and measuring standards of work and performance of team membersAbout YouThe successful candidate will possess the following:
Current Western Australian Electrical LicenceS26 Electrical statutory appointment, experience or ability to obtainCurrent Drivers LicenceStrong leadership experience in leading & developing teams through planned shutdowns and operational delaysExcellent knowledge of fixed plant and equipmentHighly developed analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong stakeholder relationshipsSafety focus with the ability to identify and implement safe work practicesAbility to follow plans clearly and concisely within a maintenance environment, demonstrating a sound knowledge of maintenance practicesStrong work management and adherence to schedule capabilityAbout Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
