Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering)The Role – Senior Electrical EngineerHere's an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing engineering team actively delivering some of Southeast Queensland's landmark construction projects. You will become a vital part of the Queensland Commercial Construction team who have a strong reputation of being the electrical construction team of choice within top tier commercial construction industry.Key responsibilities:-Independently complete and/or directly supervise electrical engineering designTechnical electrical design leadership and project deliveryMentoring of junior engineersProject coordination during tender, design, and deliveryDirection of the digital engineering team to continue their growthDevelope strong internal and external client relationshipsEnsure the design, construction and maintenance of building services systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements.The successful applicant will:-Be confident, a strong team player, adept at problem solving, capable of distributing technical advice across multiple business operation levels.Be experienced reading and coordinating with Architectural, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Civil, Structural, Services layout & schematic drawings for planning & construction delivery.Be experienced in testing & commissioning of Major Electrical infrastructure, primarily LV systems, but also inclusive of HV, DC, Solar, Diesel Generation, SCADA, and Intelligent Transport Systems (communications).Have previous experience in cost estimation, design budget preparation, cost tracking and reporting.Tertiary qualification in Electrical EngineeringPreferrably have chartered and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)Have a sound understanding of Australian standards, National Construction Code, and Best Practice in Sustainable Building Construction and how they are implemented on construction projects;Be able to identify opportunities to improve concept designs provided by engineering consultants to realise cost savings in equipment, materials and labour during construction.If you are looking for a great copmpany to work for who will be empowering and give opportunities and a clear vision.
