Fantastic Opportunity for an Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our MILO Smithtown Factory. This role will provide support on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Electricity and Automation (E&A) professional and technical in the Factory for operational activities and during participation in CAPEX projects.
A day in the life… Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team passionate about improving factory operations. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the factory electrical infrastructure from design through to installation, maintenance, operation, improvement and upgrade as part of a site electrical strategy.Participates in Capital Investments projects in the factory ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards.Responsible for preparation of the user and technical specifications.Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.Ensure that the Change Management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the MES-E&A solutions.Play a key role in the continuous improvement of our factories through mastering the process and product characteristics.Supervise and coordinate Automation and MES maintenance and project work by electricians and contractors.Co-ordinate with Production, Quality Management and Engineering to resolve Automation and MES issues.Develop a deep insight of the processes, and continuously strive for the improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.Participates in the implementation of engineering tools at site level (i.e. NSAT, NEST, AMM, etc.).Ensure that all MES-E&A installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.Ensures that the key MES-E&A documentation is up to date and in place (i.e. SLD, URS, FDS, Calibration procedures, etc.). Participates in the M&I activities in the factory.What will make you successful Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes.Degree or Diploma qualified with solid Electrical and Automation experience.Minimum 3 years Automation and/or MES engineer with Electrical experience.Experience in Personnel Supervision of technical teams, contractors or other 3rd parties.Participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.Participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s).Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution desired but not required.Proficient in installation, programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley PLC's and variable speed drives – desired.In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control, real time management, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), man/machine interfaces and communication, computer hardware etc.The right person must be proactive, thorough and detailed, with a high level of relationship building.Excellent communication skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including but not limited to health checks, prior to appointment to this role.
