EL1 Assistant Director (People Strategy & Workforce Planning Opportunities) Full time
$116,118 to $127,090 + 15.4% Superannuation
Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability.
A new role awaits Are you enthusiastic about leading a highly skilled and diverse team? We have multiple leadership opportunities available in the People Strategy and Workforce Planning Branch. The Chief People Strategy Officer Division is responsible for people strategies that enhance employee experience and outcomes for participants, families and community, by using real-time data insights to apply person-centred and evidence-based methods.
Where you can add value Innovation and Improvement Leading and developing strategic improvement process design and development. Coordinating responses regarding issues of strategic risk and significance. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and increasing efficiencies using quantitative and qualitative analysis. Providing technical support to resolve business-specific issues. Strategy Design and Implementation Supporting and developing structured insights, identifying priorities, defining scope and providing recommendations for strategic projects. Developing and interpreting policy and strategy while maintaining an understanding and consideration of sensitive organisational and political issues. Contributing and creating materials for senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, Board, and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations, and implications for the Agency. Engaging with a range of key stakeholders, ensuring that policy and strategy development is contemporary, relevant, and evidence-informed. Enough about us, let's talk about you This role will draw on candidates' passion for continuous improvement and collaboration as well as co-design & strategic thinking skills to focus on strategies to support people to bring their best selves to ready the workforce to support participants and the scheme. Our ideal candidates will bring a high level of knowledge in improvement science methodology and people strategy and culture. The successful candidate will have prior leadership experience leading a team to achieve Agency goals and objectives. You will be an influential leader who supports and inspires their team.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
