$115,899 - $130,733 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Canberra CBD - ACT The Role Defence has a small team of Finance experts that are working on the development of a Defence wide Enterprise Resource System.
This role involves being the conduit between the business and the Functional Consultants that are doing the actual system development.
You will be an integral part of making sure that the Finance side of the system is fit for purpose and looking for any system improvements that can be incorporated as part of the new build.
You will need to be a Subject Matter Expert in Finance in a SAP environment and understand the unique challenges that Department of Defence faces in working around the world as well as locally.
You will need to be able to suggest creative solutions to problem solve any issues that are identified.
The work is spread across multiple functions such as Financial Operations, Tax Management, Financial Reporting, Assets Management, Interfacing Systems and all other areas that touch the finance space.
About our Team This is a dynamic team working in a fast paced environment.
The team is made up of 10 Subject Matter Experts that have a range of skills across all finance roles as well as extensive experience in their particular subject matter.
Whilst the role itself sits in the finance stream, the role reports through to the Enterprise Resource Program.
Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have extensive Finance experience in SAP systems and ideally experience in Defence or similar Government experience.
The ability to think on their feet, multi task and work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.
The ability to work in a team as well as the ability to clearly explain the benefits of upgrading to a new system.
Analyse very complex issues, applying expertise to identify, design and recommend solutions to achieve outcomes.
Have an influential communication style and the ability to explain technical information in simple terms to stakeholders and the ability to understand and communicate in technical terms with the Functional Consultants.
