About the Role: As a result of an extended period of leave, we have a unique and exciting opportunity available for a dynamic Local Government Economic Development Coordinator to lead our experienced and high performing Economic Development team.
This position is a key leadership role that leads Council's work regarding the economic development and activation of our City.
The team has recently completed a comprehensive Economic Development Tourism and Place Making Strategy (EDTPS) that's sets the stage for an experienced practitioner to work with the team to implement the associated detailed action plans.
You will be responsible for:
Overseeing the activation of Bayside's Activity Centres through Placemaking initiatives, the Bayside Business Network and Christmas ProgramCareful planning, budget monitoring and staff resource allocation to deliver the varied actions of the EDTPSDirectly supervising the Economic Development team in the delivery of economic development servicesPreparing reports regarding the various initiatives and undertakings of the Economic Development unitCoordinating community and stakeholder engagement in accordance with Council's Engagement FrameworkActivations and Economic Development related eventsSubstantial cross council collaborationKey Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
