We are excited to be partnering with a Local Council in Western Sydney in the search for an Economic Attraction Lead to join the team!
About the Role
As the Economic Attraction Lead, you will spearhead initiatives that drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and attract investment to the city. As a strategic leader, the Economic Attraction Lead will work closely with stakeholders across government, business, and the local community to deliver transformative outcomes aligned with the Economic Development Strategy 2023-2031.
This role will involve:
Developing and implementing projects that strengthen Penrith's economic position
Collaborating with stakeholders to unlock regional opportunities and support local business growth
Providing high-level economic advice and insights to internal teams and external partners
Monitoring and reporting on key economic initiatives to track performance and outcomes
We're looking for someone with:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Economic Development, Urban Planning, or a related field
Experience in delivering economic, regional, or urban development projects
Exceptional analytical and organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects
Expertise in interpreting economic and demographic data to inform decision-making
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including public speaking and stakeholder engagement
A track record of driving initiatives that lead to measurable growth and success
A valid Class C Driver License
Experience working in government, the public sector, or similarly complex environments
