To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Earthworks Supervisor for major mining projects based in the Bowen Basin Region.
As an Earthworks Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing earthmoving operations within the mine site. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that earthmoving activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project timelines and specifications. You will be responsible for leading a team of operators, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and optimizing productivity while minimizing environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of earthmoving operators.Provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to operators to ensure efficient and safe execution of earthworks activities.Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence among the team.Operational Management: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule earthworks activities.Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and targets.Monitor and evaluate equipment performance and maintenance needs to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in earthmoving operations.Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of earthworks to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.Implement corrective actions as necessary to address deviations and ensure quality deliverables.Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and implement process improvements.Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote awareness and compliance with safety regulations.Ensure that all earthmoving activities comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of earthworks activities, including equipment usage, materials, and manpower.Prepare regular progress reports for project managers and stakeholders.Document incidents, near misses, and safety violations, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.What We Offer: Long term projects.Full-Time positions.DIDO or FIFO.Camp facilities – Accommodation & Meals.A collaborative and encouraging team culture.Opportunities for career development.Employee Assistance Program.Requirements: Proven experience (5 years) in earthmoving operations, preferably in the mining sector.In-depth knowledge of earthmoving equipment, techniques, and best practices.Current CBM and S11 obtained within the last 5 years.Site Supervisor G1 G8 G9 (formerly S1 S2 S3).
