THE ROLE
HAVAS Red Sydney is hiring an Account Director to work across some of the agency's largest accounts. This is an opportunity for someone with a passion for all things culture and travel to join our team to look after some of the biggest brands in the country, and the world!
As part of the Consumer and Brand Team, the Account Director works closely with the Head of Consumer & Brand, Client Services Director, and Senior Account Director to deliver the best quality work across a suite of clients, including major travel brands, exciting destinations, well-known lifestyle and consumer brands, and famous beverage clients.
For this role, you will have your finger on the pulse of the latest travel and lifestyle trends and know what it takes to create a great story. You will be running a talented team to deliver work that makes our clients famous.
We need a self-starter, someone who is a can-do operator, can spot a good, earned story, and who has close media contacts.
This position reports to the Client Services Director and Senior Account Director which they will work with on a regular basis and requires accountability for personal and team outputs and outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own client programs, projects and/or events and ensure the quality of work meets clients' objectives in the most effective manner.
Drive strong relationships with multiple levels within the client base, ensuring regular visibility with key contacts.
Know each client's objectives, perspectives, issues, and requirements.
Develop sound communications strategies, creative executions, accurate budgets and timelines with input from the team.
Develop project/program KPIs in conjunction with the team, ensure these are being met and manage client expectations.
Manage workflow by delegating and monitoring works, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving problems and implementing new procedures as required.
Achieve high levels of client satisfaction, driving and motivating team members to provide superior service whilst maintaining agency profitability.
Develop and grow each client account financially both within the current program and beyond.

WHAT YOU BRING

A degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism (or similar) would be great (but not mandatory).
Experience and contacts within the Australian media, with key relationships across news, lifestyle, luxury, food and beverage and travel.
A minimum of five years full-time in agency or similar experience and proven proficiency to perform tasks required to a high standard.
