AWS Infrastructure Services is looking for a passionate, results-orientated Mechanical Engineer to guide the expansion of AWS facilities and services in new and existing regions by delivering site selection risk analysis and due diligence assessments and delivering concept, design ready sites.
Play a leading role in Due Diligence team at AWS, you will lead due diligence's, partnering with stakeholders across the APAC organization, to shape the future of AWS' infrastructure growth and evolving risk landscape.
You will be responsible for the preliminary multidisciplinary design, assess and draw conclusions from a wide range of real estate, engineering, construction, policy, planning, and business development considerations, review and prioritize risk-based mitigation recommendations, partnering with internal stakeholders to secure funding and manage projects to successful resolution.
Key job responsibilitiesYou will identify, assess, and prioritize risks and mitigations to continuously improve the resilience of AWS infrastructure. You will be expected to regularly engage with stakeholders, and report to AWS leaders, across the business to ensure risks are being appropriately identified, communicated, and managed.
Guide the expansion of AWS facilities and services in new and existing regions across APAC by delivering site selection risk analysis and due diligence assessments.Be responsible for the multidisciplinary preliminary design for our sites. Assess and draw conclusions from a wide range of real estate, engineering, construction, policy, environmental, planning, and business development considerations.Review and prioritize risk-based mitigation recommendations, partnering with internal stakeholders to secure funding and manage projects to successful resolution.Coordinate internal teams and manage external consultants and external subject matter experts.Up to 25% travel, including to international destinations across APAC.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of program or project management experienceBachelor's degree or equivalentMultidisciplinary concept/preliminary design experienceBackground in either Civil Engineering or ArchitecturePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a technical field, (civil, electrical, mechanical, Architectural or Design Manager role)Solid understanding of local standards and council design standardsChartered engineer/Architect with accredited instituteAcknowledgement of country:
