District Manager - Australia, New Zealand & Papua New Guinea

The main duties / responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Accountable for making sure all personnel within District understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures.Overall responsible to deliver ChampionX annual targets for business revenue, profit, and working capital for the District.Accountable for managing and ensuring P&L health for District, proactively providing insights to senior leadership, highlighting and owning improvement initiatives and opportunities.Manage the company's cash and assets in an efficient, economical manner preventing waste or misuse.Prepare quarterly District revenue forecasts to roll up to Regional forecasts.Prepare annual Operating Plan and Strategic Business Review for roll up to Regional Sales Manager.Establish sales targets for direct reports in accordance to Regional targets, coordinating their execution.Have awareness of long-term, short-term, and daily goals of both ChampionX and Customer, helping to develop action plans to bridge sales/margin gaps in sales forecasts.
Demonstrate flexibility by being able to adapt to constant shift in priorities due to the nature of the business and competitive environment.Ensure full compliance with all applicable Australia & NZ regulatory requirements and corporate standards and policies.Demonstrate Safety Leadership and Execution across the business.
Adhere to company OHS policies, procedures, and rules and follow safe work practices.Be ANZ lead manager for conformance and maintenance of ISO certification for Health & Safety; Environment and Quality Management Systems.
Identify actual and potential non-conformances in SHEQ delivery and ensure corrective and preventive action as required are documented in Intelex and delivered.Lead ANZ Safety Team and resource the team with personnel from ANZ sales, technical and supply chain and be accountable for ANZ team to meet Leading and Lagging SHEQ KPI's, including Goal Zero.Development and maintenance of an effective relationship with multiple levels within Key Customers organisations, promoting the desired image of the Company and ensuring Customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.Active collaboration and knowledge sharing with other personnel and functions within ChampionX by exchanging information, potential new business opportunities, chemical applications, and best practices, by regularly leveraging on available knowledge sharing platforms, such as CORE.Establish a culture based on Performance and Accountability within district and wider sales organization.Be accountable for ANZ Sales Teams to maintain active a PROact program for identified Tier 1/2 accounts, including Implementation, Value Delivery, and Monetization targets.Ensure Market Sales Pyramid is accurately populated and maintained for business growth opportunities and incumbent business at risk and work with local sales teams in building Strategic Sales Plans for key Must Win accounts.Develop team morale (employee satisfaction within team) and work with management to address any issues or conflicts in a productive and collaborative manner.Be accountable for the review of existing, renewing or new contracts with Customers to ensure that ChampionX interests are protected and that any proposal, equipment or process stipulated in the contract does not pose a potential financial or resource risk.
Liaise with Leadership and Legal as required.Continue to develop personal relationships across all functions, working to ensure that support for the business is efficient, timely, and recognised.Be able to identify threats to customer business drivers (HSSE, reliability, profitability, turnaround success, and product quality) and provide solutions (mechanical, operational, chemistry, technology).LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONSHave a strong commitment and lead by example in setting high standards on delivery to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Goals.Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to articulate a vision for the direction of the District and facilitate messaging from wider organization.Lead and develop the ANZ Sales and local Technical Teams.Responsibility for full cycle annual performance review of District; providing direction on hiring decisions, termination decisions, bonus allocations, account assignments, and talent assessments.
Working with Senior Leadership to set goals for the upcoming year, both individually and for the wider sales team.Proactively lead, coach, and mentor less experienced sales representatives and managers on diverse topics (pre-call plan, call objectives, CSP, role play and SWOT analysis, Best Practice Gap Analysis and all aspects of Production Chemistry).Drive own Individual Development Plan (IDP), with support and input from Manager, ensuring direct reports also build meaningful plans.
Frequently engage in development discussions with critical and high potential employees, ensuring opportunities that cover challenging and stretch assignments are discussed and implemented.Participate in the annual Talent Assessment and Strategic Succession Planning exercise, to assess team's leadership potential and plan for the future.Manage the ANZ Sales & Technical Teams and ensure all personnel career development is documented and tracked through Workday for PP&D, IDP's and Talent Planning.Leadership in Talent Identification and People Development in alignment with effective succession planning.Coordinate local staff recruitment requirements with HR and interface with recruiters and internal functions for ANZ staff appointments.Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives for ANZ and regional business and where required, monitor the established business management systems to determine where improvements are needed, and recommends and oversees corrective actions.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMinimum Expectations:10+ Years of successful technical sales or field sales experience in Production Chemistry, with experience in personnel management (to include coaching, mentoring, and development).Demonstratable strong ethics, effective time management, ability to multitask, adaptability, autonomy, and self-motivation.Ability to build and maintain successful relationships across multiple levels of the internal and customer organisation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Adept at using Microsoft-Office based products.JOB SPECIFIC LOCATIONSCandidate will be based in Perth, Australia.Our Commitment to Diversity and InclusionAt ChampionX, we believe the best teams are diverse and inclusive, and we are on a journey to create a workplace where every employee can grow and achieve their best.
