About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and highly organised Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. This key role involves overseeing the smooth and efficient dispatch of produce from the packing shed to customers across local and interstate locations.
What You'll Be Doing Data Tracking: Record batch numbers, pack dates, and best-before dates for each pack daily. Transport Coordination: Book transport times and pallet spaces for dispatch daily. Labelling and Documentation: Ensure all pallets are correctly labeled with receiver details and create delivery dockets and load sheets for each dispatch. Collaborate with Packing Staff: Work closely with the packing shed team to align daily packed produce with the packing plan. Data Entry: Accurately record pallet numbers, fruit class, fruit size, and customer details. Driver Coordination: Coordinate with transport drivers for effective loading and to minimise transport costs. Equipment Reconciliation: Maintain accurate records of pallet and crate transfers and work with equipment companies on reconciliation. Time-Sensitive Workflow: Operate with urgency, ensuring all tasks are completed reliably and on time. Cold Room Work: Enter cold rooms (10°C) to inspect, label and verify pallet conditions prior to dispatch. Manual Lifting: Lift items up to 15 kg to consolidate part pallets at the end of the daily pack. Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct QA checks and maintain photo record of each pack. What We're Looking For Valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle: Due to our rural location and lack of public transport, a reliable personal vehicle is essential. Packing Shed Environment Experience: Previous experience working in a non-airconditioned packing shed setting alongside production staff. Data Management Skills: Ability to manage data entry, document control, and daily packing procedures within an electronic environment. Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, including pivot tables, Outlook), familiar with MYOB or similar software is helpful. Time Management: Strong ability to work under pressure to meet transport timelines in the packing shed environment. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positive Attitude and Willingness to Learn: Self-motivated to learn and a strong team player. Problem-Solving and Organisational Skills: Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding work environment.
