Director of People and Culture Belmont Christian College is a leading co-educational P-12 school in the Newcastle region with over 900 students and 150 staff members. We are committed to providing a unique, spiritually nurturing environment that integrates strong academic and wellbeing foundations with Christian values.
We are seeking a Director of People and Culture to join our Executive team and play a vital role in shaping the College's workforce and culture. This is a pivotal position that provides strategic leadership and trusted advice to the Principal and Executive leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic workforce initiatives that align with the College's mission and values.
Lead organisational design and change management efforts to enhance effectiveness and adaptability.
Oversee policy development, compliance, and talent management processes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through effective learning and development strategies.
Ensure alignment with child safe standards and promote a safe and supportive work environment.
Selection Criteria:
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ, active participation in a local church, and support for the College's vision.
Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in a people and culture leadership role, preferably in an educational setting.
Demonstrated experience in workforce strategy development, organisational design, policy development, and change management.
Strong skills in leadership, planning, and delivering results, with a commitment to child safety.
Current Working with Children Check.
