Director Of Finance, Leading Hotel Company, Sydney Cbd

My client is a leading developer and owner of hotel assets within Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
I am seeking a Finance Director with Corporate accounting (not management accounting) experience. Someone with experience working in a finance role for a hotel operator or with fund accounting experience will be well regarded.

Be part of a successful, longstanding team. Duties and responsibilities of the role include overall control of all financial, tax and audit matters which include but not limited to:

Month-end close and monthly management reporting
Monthly cash flow analysis and forecasting for all entities within the group
Tax computation, analysis and forecasting, liaise with tax advisors on tax payable, thin
capitalisation and transfer pricing matters for the group
Responsibility for the annual audit process and overall project management delivery for preparation of the statutory accounts
Overall cash management – including capital expenditure and projects
Lead and manage the budgeting process
Treasury matters including bank financing, hedging transactions
Insurance/risk management
Lead and develop finance team
Handle any other task that is assigned by the supervisor from time to time as deemed necessary to carry out the duties

Skills and attributes

10+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position preferably with a property, hospitality or investment industry background handling month-end close, management reporting, cash flow analysis, tax and statutory filing requirements for a comparable organisation in size, scale and complexity; and covering Australia and New Zealand operations
Exceptional interpersonal communication, high degree of emotional intelligence and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels
Ability to collaborate with team members outside of finance as well as upper management to organise, plan and achieve company financial goals
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA
