As the Director of Faculty, you will be responsible for the academic leadership of the relevant discipline, establishing and maintaining industry partnerships to advance the standing, reputation and growth of the organisation.
This position sits in the Faculty of English Language and Migrant Education and reports to the Executive Director, Education and Training, TAFE Queensland, Brisbane Region.
This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity. 
The position will be based primarily at the South Bank Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland Campuses.

Key Responsibilities Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.  Establish and maintain industry and community partnerships and models for student engagement to advance the standing and reputation of the organisation. Ensure these relationships support the key revenue contracts of the organisation particularly the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) and Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP) Government contracts.  Build external relations and drive revenue generation activities to foster business growth and industry engagement. Provide academic leadership to the organisation by fostering an environment of innovation and professionalism and focussing on the promotion of quality and excellence in teaching and learning. Plan, lead and support the strategic and operational development of the organisation. Lead, manage and plan a diverse and dynamic workforce to meet the market's needs and create high employee engagement. Manage, develop and monitor performance through individual performance plans. Ensure core responsibilities of customers, key stakeholders and the organisation are met. This includes the efficient management of accreditation and registration requirements, vocational educational placements, academic appeals, academic progression and admission issues. Analyse and report on a range of activities such as customers, strategic and operational management plans, finances and other legislative and organisational activities as required. Deliver on a range of high level business outcomes and develop strategies to mitigate risk. Provide commercial leadership and influence within both the internal and external environment.  Ensure commercial success through managing efficiency and effectiveness of financial and non-financial performance targets. How you will be assessed The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Proven experience in negotiating, building and sustaining productive internal and external stakeholder relationships and working collaboratively to achieve commercial business outcomes. A proven track record and success in identifying and translating commercial partnerships and business development opportunities into outcomes. A strong understanding of the Commonwealth Government's policy areas of Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and Skills for Employment and Education (SEE) is critical.  Demonstrated ability to provide innovative and strategic learning and development direction and expertise in a broad suite of English language programs with a strong understanding of ELICOS and CRICOS requirements to lead organisational development and learning and development projects in a rapidly changing, complex and competitive multi-disciplinary business environment. High level planning, analysis, problem solving and project management skills. Superior communication, presentation, negotiation, influencing and listening skills. Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements There are no mandatory requirements for this role. Highly Desirable Requirements Tertiary qualifications in business and/or extensive industry experience.  Current Workplace Training and Assessment qualifications. Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Well developed interpersonal and management skills.  Experience managing projects in a large complex organisation.
