About the Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to work with an established international mortgage lender in LGT, using your skills and experiences to support the continued growth of the LGT Crestone Mortgage offering to our clients.
You will partner with the Credit team as the Front Office face of the mortgage lending product and be responsible for educating the advisory function on how to position mortgage lending in an appropriate manner, ensuring compliant client engagement and delivery of value proposition as well as supporting product development in collaboration with Credit where needed.
We believe there is a unique opportunity in the marketplace for a mortgage lending offering dedicated to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients that is complementary to their investment objectives. We also believe that a prudently managed mortgage lending portfolio will materially contribute to the success of our wider business and the achievement of its long-term sustainable growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities Education of Investment Advisers in collaboration with the Credit teamProactively engage with the Front Office business to support the growth of mortgages to deliver increased wealth asset flowProvide education and raise awareness on LGT Crestone's mortgage offering to clients, including attending client meetings as the Subject Matter ExpertSupporting Investment Advisers to ensure client suitability and adherence to regulatory and compliance obligations on mortgages is fulfilledEnsure sufficient quality of advice provided by Investment Advisers to clientsGuide and provide sales support in an appropriate mannerOnce client raises a tangible mortgage request, work with internal Credit Advisors for further processing together with the Investment AdvisersCreating and maintaining relationships with colleagues across the mortgages business and support ongoing project work with external and internal stakeholders as and when requiredProvide input on mortgage relevant aspects in policies and procedures as requiredAbout You You are degree qualified, ideally also having obtained an MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline. Accompanying this, you have extensive experience in residential mortgages, with deep knowledge of mortgage underwriting gained from a private banking business focusing on HNW and UHNW clients.
Your strong interpersonal and communication skills allow you to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders including senior management and executives, advisers, clients and colleagues across different delivery channels. You also have strong detail orientation, analytical and problem-solving skills, which give you the ability to see the bigger picture and understand how decisions impact the rest of the organisation.
