In this role you will: Lead the delivery of professional financial management services in areas including state budget and estimates process management, internal budget management and business and costing models.Lead the delivery of robust, high quality financial management analysis, reporting and business models to inform effective decision making processes within the organisation.Lead the development and implementation of a robust investment and prioritisation framework to support effective decision making in a dynamic environment.Provide input into the development of financial policy and financial impact assessment on proposed departmental reforms and initiatives.Provide timely, independent and informed advice and strategic financial recommendations to the Minister, Resources' Leadership Team and departmental committees on a broad range of financial management and budgetary issues.Lead the delivery of the department's ongoing program of financial management improvement with a focus on enhanced business partnering and centres of expertise together with efficient and effective operations.Lead and cultivate high performing teams through effective leadership, empowerment of staff, supportive feedback on performance and promotion of professional development.Lead the delivery of customer centric financial services by embedding a culture of understanding and delivering on customer expectations and actively contributing to positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Represent the department in high level forums, consultations and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders and clients including Queensland Treasury and other external parties.Contribute to the achievement of the Finance and Corporate Operations vision through the provision of strategic advice, active participation in the senior management team, promoting a collegiate approach to activities across the division and the successful implementation of divisional plans.Other duties as directed and required.This position requires: There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however, it is highly desirable for the applicant to possess accounting qualifications such as a relevant degree and relevant professional membership such as CPA/CA.
