ABOUT THE HCCC The Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) is an independent statutory body set up under the Health Care Complaints Act 1993. The HCCC receives and assesses, resolves, investigates and prosecutes complaints about health services in NSW. It plays a central part in maintaining the integrity of the NSW health system, with the overarching consideration of protecting the health and safety of individuals and the community.
ABOUT THE ROLE The Director, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer is a member of the Commission's executive leadership team and provides critical expertise and capability leading the team responsible for services and skills to support the priorities and mission of the Commission.
The role provides strategic advice to the Commissioner and the Senior Executive Team in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer and Chief People Officer for the HCCC. The Director leads the corporate services Finance and People & Culture teams in the provision of professional services, analysis and insights to underpin key decision making and long-term organisational sustainability.
The role leads and oversees the day-to-day operations of finance and procurement, people and culture, facilities and asset management functions, making executive decisions to ensure the strategic and operational success of these areas.
ABOUT YOU: The scale, scope and challenges of this role provide an opportunity for an experienced leader to set and implement the corporate services agenda for the Commission with the senior leadership team. The position requires:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Business or Finance. Full membership of a professional accounting body such as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA). Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards, as well as a record of ongoing professional development. Public sector knowledge and experience. All employees are required to have a current Working with Children Check (WwCC). A National Police Check (This will be conducted by HCCC for recommended candidates only).
