The Opportunity We are seeking a Regional Director for our Cochlear Implants (CI) Product Portfolio to join our APAC Marketing team. The Director, CI Product Portfolio, APAC is responsible for overseeing the management and development of the Cochlear Implants and Services business within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Reporting to the Vice President, Product & Services Marketing, APAC, the role is focussed on leading the growth of the Cochlear Implant (CI) business across current and new markets within the APAC region.

Working in close collaboration with the global team & APAC country teams, this role will lead the product portfolio and launch plans across APAC to accelerate & drive growth across our developed and emerging markets.

This role is accountable for: Strategically lead, define, and refine our regional portfolio plan to deliver against our commercial goals. Lead the Life-cycle management plan for the portfolio across the region. Develop and deploy the APAC services and recipient strategy. Develop a customer-first and commercial capability across product management, through a systems Commercialisation approach. Develop a segmentation model for CI healthcare professionals, and partnering with the country leads and APAC Medical Affairs team draft and implement KOL development and engagement plans. Work with Product Managers to ensure maximum commercial success of each launch. Demonstrate exceptional strategic and stakeholder leadership, to influence and align across global, region and key markets to drive systems market needs and product requirements. Lead and develop product managers to ensure project and commercial objectives are met. Success in this role requires the ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organisation, so strong communication skills, cultural understanding and knowledge of the broader medical device & consumer space will be critical. With growth of the business at the forefront of each decision we make this role is critical in leading that growth across the APAC region.

About You To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential Skills Graduate qualifications in business, engineering, science or marketing (Postgraduate is advantageous). 10 years experience covering sales, business development, product management and/or marketing. Strong technical and commercial background with a clear understanding and proven record around the principles of marketing, product realisation and business development. Demonstrated experience in leading teams with a strong coaching approach to leadership. Good interpersonal and relationship building skills with proven experience across different markets and cultures. Achievement oriented. Attention to detail. Enthusiasm – willing to go above and beyond what's required. Travel within the Asia Pacific region and internationally (around 30%). Desired Skills Significant experience in life science industry/medical devices. Experience in practical audiology and/or knowledge of Cochlear's products is highly advantageous. Business development experience in the hearing industry. Proficiency in 1 or more languages. Experience across the APAC region.
