Permanent full time opportunity to ensure excellence in acute clinical service delivery through the provision of strategic managerial and professional advice, as well as expert clinical and operational leadership to Metro North Mental Health – The Prince Charles Hospital (MNMH-TPCH), Acute Clinical Services.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Utilise clinical and acute mental health expertise to maintain a level of clinical input into services and to provide clinical leadership around complex cases.Utilise advanced communication skills including negotiation and conflict management skills to collaborate with key stakeholders across the acute mental health sector (e.g. QPS, QAS, MHAODB, Mental Health Services, Primary Health Network etc) to ensure effective and efficient service provision.Provide strategic direction of acute mental health services in MNMH-TPCH, through the application of expert knowledge and strategic level leadership to deliver services across multiple locations.Oversee the recruitment, management, training, and development of acute mental health service staff to ensure that human resource management is consistent with workplace policies and current Human Resource Services practices.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), by actively supporting the elimination of racial discrimination and institutional racism; supporting increased access to health care; influencing the social, cultural and economic determinants of health; supporting the delivery of sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health services; and recognise the importance of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations to design, deliver, monitor and review the health and support services we provide.
