The RoleAs a Digital Program Officer, you will support building military digital capabilities that are aligned with the Defence Integrated Investment Program (IIP) and the One Defence Capability System.You will work as part of a team responsible for preparing and delivering briefings to officials to assist in decision-making.Through these briefings, you will assist in the identification and assessment of ICT requirements and risks that affect Defence digital spaces.Your input will be critical in anticipating and addressing threats and vulnerabilities.Specifically, you will:Manage the co-ordination of a portfolio of capability projects and facilitate discussions on project progress, ICT requirements and risks;Engage with capability projects by providing ICT insights, informing stakeholders of DDG's roadmap, facilitating SME engagement, and addressing knowledge gaps of DDG processes;Take part in the identification and analysis of military digital demand in alignment with Defence strategies;Coordinate project and risk remediation activities.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.For further information, please contact the contact officer.About our TeamThis Digital Program Officer position is part of the Military Digital Demand (MDD) Directorate of the Defence Digital Group (DDG).MDD is the group's engagement lead to identify, prioritise and influence Military digital demand across the Defence ecosystem to achieve integrated and resilient military digital platforms.MDD marshals the whole of the digital landscape to consolidate threats, assess risks and collaboratively support teams to mature and deliver military capability.Our Ideal CandidateThe ideal Digital Program Officer will have knowledge, or the ability to acquire knowledge, of: Federal government investment processes;The Australian Defence strategic posture;Project and program management concepts;ICT technology layers.The candidate should be able to: Analyse and synthesise information to provide recommendations and reasoned judgements;Respond to changes in internal and external environments by staying flexible and resilient through uncertainty and ambiguity;Provide accurate, timely and relevant information through written pieces to enable informed decision-making;Identify, assess, mitigate and monitor risks using risk frameworks;Collaborate with others to achieve shared objectives, foster trust and respect, and leverage collective expertise to solve problems.
