Immediate startMelbourne CBD location/Working from Home ArrangementAbout the role:Government agency seeks an experienced Digital Adviser to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 3-month based in Melbourne CBD. As the Digital Adviser, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts in the development of content and management of digital channels and initiatives.Responsibilities and tasks:Reporting directly to the Manager, your responsibilities will include:Coordinating digital channels (websites, social media and eDMs), contributing to content curation and creation, reputation and issues management, strong governance and compliance with digital, brand and communications guidelines, as well as supporting digital channels in the wider portfolio.Work closely with the Digital Manager, business area, content owners and communications teams to coordinate content planning and digital strategies that meet business needs and performance objectives. Coordinate the proactive review of website content to ensure it remains useful, accurate and current.Proactively manage the resolution or escalation of technical issues and the development of new features, modules or sections for the website, including gathering and developing requirements, liaising with the technical team, conducting user acceptance testing and monitoring performance following implementation.Oversee regular reviews of digital channels, analyse data, including analytics tools and user feedback, to regularly report on the usage, performance and effectiveness of digital channels, and make evidence-based recommendations for improvements and optimisation.Provide advice to a range of stakeholders on digital best practice and standards compliance e.g. accessibility and privacy and provide support to the broader digital team. Proactively identify and manage issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with digital, brand and communications guidelines.Key Selection Criteria:The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:Demonstrated experience in managing digital channels (websites, social media and eDMs) including the ability to set clearly defined objectives and priorities, plan and manage workload and schedules, reviewing, prioritising, and adjusting as required.Demonstrated experience in product ownership, including expertise in content strategy and content management, information architecture, user experience and interaction design, performance measurement/analytics, identifying and managing technical improvements, and compliance with digital standards and guidelines.Demonstrated analytical skills to review data from various sources, synthesise and interpret clear insights and recommendations; to identify and document technical issues and conduct testing; and to develop requirements for new features.Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills including the capacity to build relationships, negotiate and influence, providing specialist advice to a wide range of stakeholders on their digital requirements.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in communications, digital media, UX (or similar) will be well regarded.Demonstrated experience with web content management systems such as Squiz Matrix or Drupal/SDP; CRMs and eDM programs such as Campaign Monitor; content production tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar; analytics and other tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar and MonsidoSound knowledge of and experience working in government organisations.How to apply?Please apply online using the appropriate link below forwarding a copy of your resume highlighting your digital and web content management experience, your government experience, and your suitability for the role.
