We are seeking experienced Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanics to join our workshop team on a permanent basis working up to 76 hours per fortnight. Our mechanics work on the island at Kingfisher Bay Resort and in our mainland workshop in Urangan, Hervey Bay. This is a unique opportunity for a mechanic ready for an island change. This position will require staying over on the island for part of the week. All living expenses are included when on the island.
About the Role The primary role for our mechanics is to provide mechanical repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance to the company's fleet of 4WD buses, resort vehicles and plant and equipment. The main goal is to keep our fleet fully operational so we can continue to provide all of our guests an amazing experience in comfort and safety as they venture around the island and enjoy the beauty of K'gari.
Key Role Requirements Actively follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and practices consistent with legislative requirements and regulations. Provide mechanical maintenance and repairs to 4WD buses to safety standards. Provide mechanical maintenance and repairs to the Resort fleet of vehicles to safety standards. Provide mechanical maintenance and repairs to the Resort plant and equipment to safety standards. Test drive vehicles. Skills, Qualifications & Experience Hold current MR/HR licence (must have at time of application). Physically fit and able. Knowledge of mechanical workshop operations and associated equipment.
