482 visa sponsorship available for overseas candidates Competitive salary and renumeration packaged Supportive work culture and environment Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to manage the repair, maintenance, and servicing of our fleet, including trucks, excavators, forklifts, and motorized workshop equipment.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and proactive maintenance.
The Diesel Mechanic will work directly with the Operations manager and contribute to keeping our field operations running smoothly across project sites and workshop settings.
Key Responsibilities Adhere strictly to Irritek's WH&S policies and contribute to a safe work environment by utilizing PPE such as high-viz clothing, safety footwear, and protective eyewear.
Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on various vehicles and diesel-powered equipment, both in the workshop and on project sites.
Maintain detailed records and manage Irritek's preventative maintenance system in alignment with Australian standards.
Attend on-site projects for troubleshooting, repairing, and assisting in the commissioning of diesel engines.
Monitor and manage inventory levels for spare parts, advising on stock requirements to meet budget goals.
Keep the workshop organized, prioritizing safety and cleanliness.
Qualifications & Skills Qualified Diesel Fitter with proven workshop and on-site experience.
Valid driver's license; forklift license required, and heavy vehicle license is an advantage.
Strong safety orientation, with a commitment to maintaining a positive safety culture.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage workload autonomously and meet productivity targets.
Working Conditions This role involves both workshop and field-based work, which may require extended standing, heavy lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
