Role OverviewOur client is amid a huge growth phase and aims to expand its network of 400+ assets sustainably and significantly in the coming 3 years. As the Development Manager, your primary focus will be driving new store growth at a state level (Victoria). This includes identifying and securing new sites to accelerate new store openings and developing strategies to enhance existing asset performance, including relocations when necessary.

Strategic Network PlanningDevelop and execute a state-wide network market plan for new rollouts.Assess and identify opportunities for relocations or refurbishments of existing sites.Partner with the internal and external teams to align on network strategies and secure new stores within the state.Key RelationshipsInternal:Chief Development OfficerSenior Development ManagerProperty TeamState General Manager & Operations TeamExternal:Developers, Landlords, AgentsConsultants, Town Planners, Solicitors, CouncilsArchitectsFinancial Oversight & ReportingPrepare and present business cases and feasibility assessments to internal stakeholders and executives.Conduct thorough due diligence on proposed sites to ensure financial viability, including sales and capital forecasting.Draft and present new development proposals to the Property and Franchising Board. Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or QSR development, or a related field, with a strong track record of managing multiple projects.A degree in Real Estate Development, Town Planning, Engineering, Property, Construction Management, or a related discipline.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
