About the role The Development Compliance Liaison Officer is responsible for managing incoming complaints relating to the Development Compliance Team. The role includes triaging complaints, contacting the customer to meet established service levels for customer service, and assisting Compliance Officers by undertaking research and providing them with the relevant information to investigate complaints promptly. Additionally, the role will provide training on corporate systems, their optimal use, and generating data reports for the Team Leader and Manager, highlighting tasks outside service levels.
As a member of a multidisciplinary team, this position ensures efficient and effective service delivery, particularly in Development Compliance, aligning with the Council's Community Strategic Plan deliverables.

Remuneration $80,136.68 - $88,656.36 + 11.5% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications Tertiary qualification or relevant experience working in Development Control or Planning within Local Government and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. A detailed knowledge of development pathways, including the regulatory framework applicable to Council Development Compliance and Building Certification. Expert knowledge of OneCouncil or equivalent and experience in training others in a structured program. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service and deal with challenging customers in a resilient and empathetic way, ensuring that the customer's perspective is always considered.
