An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to join our team on a luxury multi-residential new build project.
This contract/part-time position will play a critical role in overseeing the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.

As the Design Manager, you will lead the design coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring all project aspects adhere to contractual, regulatory, and Melrose standards.
Working closely with a collaborative team, you'll manage design workflows and maintain quality.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead design management throughout all project stages, from concept to completion.Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure the design aligns with project requirements and vision.Manage design timelines to keep the project on track, meeting schedule milestones.Review and provide input on design documents to uphold quality and compliance standards.Oversee design-related contractual engagements and provide support to procurement processes.Support the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure smooth design transitions into construction.Actively identify and solve on-site design challenges, ensuring practical and timely solutions.Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering open and productive communication.Requirements3+ years of experience in a design management role within multi-residential or commercial construction preferred.Proven experience in managing multi-residential new builds.A university qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly regarded.Familiarity with design and construction contracts (D&C experience preferred).Proficiency in project management and design software (experience with Jobpac, HammerTech, Procore, and MS Project beneficial).Strong communication skills with an ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.A strong, consistent career track record and a valid driver's license are highly regarded.Employee Benefits6 weeks annual leave*16 weeks paid maternity leave*6 weeks paid paternity leave*Flexible working arrangements*As per company policy
