Design Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager with 8-15 years of experience in the water industry to lead the design phase of national projects. This role is primarily focused on overseeing the bid phase of projects, from tender design through to concept design, before handing off to the delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and bid phases of water infrastructure projects, focusing on concept design.Collaborate closely with the bid manager to prepare tender designs that align with client specifications and project goals.Oversee a team of designers and process engineers, providing leadership and technical direction.Ensure smooth transitions from tender to concept design, with minimal involvement in detailed design and delivery.Handle small-mid sized projects, working on multiple projects concurrently on a national level.Work with both consulting and contracting teams, leveraging experience in actual project delivery, not just concept design.Requirements: 8-15 years of experience in design management within the water industry.Proven track record of managing the design phase of projects from bid to concept, with experience on smaller scale projects.Background in consulting or contracting, with hands-on experience in water infrastructure projects.Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring design teams.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams and clients.If you are passionate about leading design teams and making a difference in the water industry, we encourage you to apply.
