This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role: Responsible for managing the Cost Control functions on the Snowy 2.0 project by monitoring the overall control of project activities and project forecasting, for the progress, analysis and cost management of the project in compliance with the FGJV agreed upon budget and resources.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management, Commerce or equivalent Cert IV in Training and Assessment - desirable White Card Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar based, managerial role on projects of similar size and complexity to the Project, preferably within a construction environment Background experience in estimating and scheduling, preferred not essential Project management background, preferred not essential Required Competencies: Sound knowledge in budgeting and forecasting General knowledge of the process of a construction site Proficiency in SAP / Candy and Vision.
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel General knowledge of personnel, inventory and subcontractor management Proficient interpersonal and organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication Has a thorough understanding of the Project Deed requirements Sound interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships Language: fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantage Communication – strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Work collaboratively in both an inter and intra departmental manner Maintains records and documents in accordance with SI NRW JV requirements Ensures work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with project, or other relevant deadlines Prepare the bid reorganization, the budget and the forecast for the area in accordance with the agreed WBS/WBE under the supervision of the AFC Manager in cooperation with the project; Provide monthly reporting to the relevant project and area personnel; Assist in financial decision making by providing analysis on the performance trends; Monitor the Snowy 2.0 project during the execution phase by analysing and comparing the achieved results against the budget to identify any variances; Revise the analyses of all project activities, factoring achieved performance in relation to new economic targets in order to anticipate recurrent forecasts Gathering of daily production data from the job site; Perform cost analysis simulation backed by empirical data that aims at improving production and reducing risk contribution to the overall project success; Any other ad hoc duties as directed by the AFC Manager The above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
