About the Role The Dental Assistant is expected to personally contribute to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, reprocessing instruments, supporting patients through the procedure, providing adequate evacuation of oral fluids and retraction of soft tissues, preparation and passing of materials and instruments, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Act. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Duties Provide quality support with best-practice chair side assisting.Ensure quality control of dental equipment.Professional accountabilities working in accordance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements.Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.Contribute to a positive working environment to achieve results consistent with workplace values.Demonstrated competence in the use of clinical software systems and other technology, the internet and desktop applications e.g. Outlook, EXACT, LogiQC, Word, Spreadsheets.Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of clinical service provision.Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.Culture Enjoy working in an organisation that makes a difference in the community.
