They offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment that fosters creativity and collaboration, with an emphasis on working where ever you work best, be that at home or in the office.Responsibilities:Design and build optimally performing SQL Server databases, both on-premises and Azure CloudIdentify technical and process resolutions from business stakeholders' requirementsDevelop automation or self-service tools for DevOps teamsEvaluate alternative solutions, standards, and technology pathsBuild relationships with Product, Operations and Account Executives to identify customer needsCreate solution designs for complex customer bids in the dedicated hosting productSupport hosting pre-sales and sales teams in their customer RFP responses and product designsOptimize people, process and technology resources to deliver committed service parametersLead the design and install of complex Cloud ServicesWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for the Senior DBA role will bring a wealth of experience in SQL Server Architecture, with proven abilities in design, build, and support of SQL Server Availability Group. In particular;Baseline (or higher) level security clearance (this is a mandatory requirement)Proven experience as a Senior DBA with demonstrable SQL Server Architecture knowledgeExperience with SQL Server Availability Group including design, build, and supportExperience with SQL Server database migrations including on-premises and to the public cloudProficiency in T-SQL, Powershell scripting, general scripting proficiencyExperience with SQL Server Performance TuningAbility to prioritize tasks and exhibit a logical approach to problem resolutionWell-developed analytical and diagnostic skillsProven ability to work as part of a teamAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
