Testing & Quality Assurance (Information & Communication Technology) Position: ETL Data Test Engineer – Permanent Position
Location: Brisbane CBD (4 days in office, 1 day WFH)
Salary: $150,675 incl. superannuation + discretionary bonus
We are looking for a highly skilled ETL Data Test Engineer to support data platform and business delivery initiatives. In this role, you will use your expertise to build test processes for data pipelines on the Cloud Data Platform while also contributing to the development of data testing frameworks for future projects.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Test Data Ingestion using Automation Test Framework utilising the metadata driven config processes. Test Data Curation components to enable testing of Enterprise Data Models and Business Access Layers. Test Integration of Data Test Frameworks with Data Platform Orchestration Framework. Execute Data pipelines using scheduling capabilities - AWS (or equivalent), Databricks, etc. Document Test cases and prepare test results. Create test plans and test scripts where automation is not a feasible option. Test execution for User Acceptance, Functional and Regression test cases across all layers of the Data Platform. Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats. EXPERIENCE Hands-on experience in testing Data Ingestion and Curation solutions. Experience working on Modern Cloud Data Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is highly desirable. Understanding of end-to-end Data & Insights life cycle is highly desirable. Experience in testing Data Marts and data Warehouse/ETL solutions developed in Databricks using Python, and SQL. Outstanding communication and business engagement. Experience in release management and defect control management. Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
