Data Center Technician III, Data Center OperationsAmazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.
This position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations.
Responsibilities include hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation.
Candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team.
Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.
In addition to hardware and network repair, candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix problems within the Data Center Space.
This team works in an environment that operates 24/7.
This position requires that the candidate selected obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesOnsite coverage as a Team in shifts and/or weekly on-callResponding to high-severity events within SLAsParticipate in Data Center power & cooling eventsBreak-fix of servers and network devicesTroubleshooting of network connectionsCoordinating and building relationships with various Data Center teamsInteract with third-party vendors & contractorsSeeking out ways to improve yourself and the processes and systems with which you workContribute to the development of other team membersMinimum Requirements1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience1+ years of computer networking experienceHigh school or equivalent diplomaExperience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressureAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
